Clan History-The Uchiha clan descended from the elder of the two sons entrusted by the Sage of the Six Paths with his power and will. When it came time for the Sage to chose a successor, he questioned the two on what course of action they would follow to bring order to the world. The elder believed that might was the way to bring peace, while the younger believed love was the way. The Sage favored the ideal of the younger brother, and therefore designated the younger as his successor, causing the elder to be filled with jealousy and hatefulness. From the younger boy descended the Senju clan who would be the eternal rivals of the Uchiha.

Before the founding of the ninja villages, the Uchiha were one of the many mercenary clans for hire. Because of their Sharingan, the Uchiha clan came to be known as one of the two strongest clans, the second being the Senju clan. Madara Uchiha was particularly powerful, and, upon attaining the Mangekyō Sharingan, he took control of the clan. Under his leadership the Uchiha grew stronger, conquering whatever clans they came upon, such that, whenever the Uchiha clan was hired for a job, the opposing side would hire the Senju.

Decades later, after the Nine-Tails' Attack on Konoha, Konoha began to suspect that an Uchiha was behind the attack. The Uchiha were relocated to a corner of the village so that they could be more easily monitored. The Uchiha interpreted this as confirmation of what Madara had warned them of years earlier, and began to plan overthrowing the village. One Uchiha, Itachi, disagreed with the coup d'état, and informed Konoha's leadership of what the Uchiha were up to. The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, tried to negotiate for a more peaceful approach. This failed, and to prevent an uprising that would create another war, Itachi was ordered to wipe out the Uchiha.

*Description: This jutsu channels a large amount of lightning chakra to the user's hand. The amount of chakra is so great that it becomes visible. The high concentration of electricity produces a sound reminiscent of many birds chirping, hence the name. Once the technique is completed, the user charges forward and thrusts the Chidori into the target. This produces heavy amounts of damage that is usually fatal.

*Description: This is one of many variations of the Chidori that uses shape transformation. It is specialized in more speed, by being transformed into countless sharp senbon, all aimed at the enemy. By increasing the amount of chakra used, the number of senbon also increases. It can become even more effective by using it together with the Sharingan, allowing the user to precisely shoot for the enemy's vitals.

*Description: This technique uses Shape Transformation to form the original Chidori into a spear-shape, adapting it for mid-range attacks. The new blade can extend up to 5 meters in length. Although it's less powerful than the Chidori, it's increased range means there is less of a risk to the user. It also has the advantage of being able to be used for surprise attacks and capturing. When the enemy's body is pierced the user alter the spear's shape into multiple additional blades increasing the number of wounds. The blade can also be swung in order to cut things as well as cause fatal injuries.

*Description: The Lightning Cutter is an enhanced form of the Chidori with the same effects and drawbacks, but more concentrated. Because the Chidori is already powerful on its own, the Lightning Cutter requires better chakra control, which is exemplified in its appearance. The Chidori appears as simply a mass of white electrical chakra in the user's hand, while the Lightning Cutter is more focused and blue.

*Description: Kirin is an extremely powerful, one-shot lightning technique created by Sasuke Uchiha. The user draws lightning directly from thunder clouds to supplement the power of his or her strike, and controls it with chakra. Due to the technique using natural lightning, which travels at 1/1000th of a second according to Zetsu, as opposed to elemental chakra it is one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful Lightning Release technique. However, the preparation time required also decreases the technique's efficiency.

*Description: This ninjutsu makes practical use of the Chidori by extending its attack range, and attempts to enfold multiple enemies. By releasing the Chidori in every direction, an electrical discharge flows from the user's entire body. This allows the user to attack everyone within a specific range. Also, when using this attack on a great number of enemies at once, it effectively doubles as an instant defense. The body of the person touched by the Chidori will misinterpret the Lightning nature as "electrical signals from the nerves," making its muscles contract. This causes the body to involuntarily go stiff, while at the same time receives damage, this attack can also be run through the ground.

*Description: Tenshi uses her chokuto sword to channel an extremely powerful Chidori capable of shocking anything in its path. It appears to have an even greater range than Chidori Current, making it more effective in battle.

*Nature: Lightning Release
*Description: Using the combination of both Shape Transformation and Nature Transformation with Rasengan, Shigeki creates a spear made entirely out of electricity with a Rasengan within the blade. When the attack hits, it creates a blast of sonic energy, like a thunder clap, which blows away everything near the epicenter. Those caught in the attack are constantly electrocuted, frying their nerves, exploding their organs and eventually killing them, the ultimate killing torture. However, it causes damage to the user's arm as well if used at close range, rendering the arm useless for a period of time.
